It is a known practice across the world that Catholics priests are not allowed to get married.
This tradition is said to be so in order to keep the holiness of the priests who are intercessors on behalf of humans.
However, in recent times, there has been a number of campaigns urging the Catholic church to reconsider its stance on the issue.
Some advocates have strongly asked that Catholic priests are allowed to get married and have children to continue their family lineage.
Nollywood actor and politician, Yul Edochie, is the latest to add his voice to the ongoing call.
The actor took to his Twitter page to share his opinion on Catholicism and celibacy.
Yul Edochie said that is right for the church to allow Catholic priests get married.
“Now that I’m older and wiser, I believe it’s best for Catholic priests to be allowed to get married. DON’T ASK ME WHY!”, he tweeted.

The actor ended his tweet with a warning to his followers not to question his request.
