A 15-year-old driver and his 14-year-old passenger were involved in a police chase that ended in a fatal crash in Kendall Wednesday morning.
The driver, whose name has not been released, lost control of the speeding Audi and crashed into a concrete pillar.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The passenger, Jazmin Keltz, was critically injured and taken to a local hospital.
Police are investigating whether the driver had a permit and how the vehicle was stolen from his mother.
Michael Feiler, an attorney representing the Keltz family, says the Keltz family wants answers.
“They want to know what happened and why it happened and how it happened,” Keltz said. “We all want to watch our children grow up and want the best for them, and in my personal experience, there’s no greater tragedy than the possibility of losing a child.”
