Public Relations Officer of Charterhouse, Robert Klah says organizers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) have not considered including Shatta Wale on the performance list for this year’s event.
He said this in response to a statement by the artiste indicating that he is ready to mount the VGMA stage.
The artiste who has been banned from the awards scheme indefinitely said he is a businessman so if the organizers call him to come and perform at the award’s night, he will gladly respond to their call.
However, Robert Klah said that they mostly considered artists who have been nominated to perform during the events.
“For each of the shows we work in faces and one of the first things we usually do is that most of the people we use are an artist who has been nominated. When we say nominees jam, it is for the nominee but I can say that we haven’t gotten to that point so I can’t say that they (Stonebwoy & Shatta) will be a factor in the performance list”, he said on Live FM.
Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy are currently serving an indefinite VGMA ban which commenced this year.
The two top artistes were suspended after they created a brawl at the 2019 edition of the awards night.
Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy were also dragged to court by the state for their actions on the night which disturbed public peace and security.
