It seems the era of mob justice where a thief is beaten to death is gradually becoming a thing of the past.
These days most thieves who are caught are often given softer punishments.
That being said, a video of a thief sweeping after he was caught stealing a phone has surfaced.
In the video, the thief was given a broom and made to sweep the marketplace as a form of punishment.
