Multiple award-winning highlife and afro-beat artiste Eugene Kwame Marfo best known by stage name Kuame Eugene has said his songs which he recorded with emotions attached have travelled really far and made a lasting impression than he expected.
The artiste was in an interview with Accra based fm station Hitz Fm when he made this assertion.
Kuame Eugene, also known as the King of Highlife music in Ghana has recorded many hit songs in his rather short music career such as Angela, Confusion, Wish Me Well, and a host of many others.
As monitored by ghlinks.com.gh, the singer told host Andy Dosty that those songs he sang out of emotions were the ones putting him on the map at the moment as far as his career is concerned. “I can tell you that the songs I recorded with emotions have travelled really far and it has longevity than the the ones I recorded myself”, he said.
He noted that Angela has hit a record of 11 million views on YouTube as well as Confusion hiting 7 million, with both still counting. He indicated he never thought of getting that far in a short while.
Touching on what influences his emotions, he revealed that he sings those songs to tell a personal story and doesn’t do a lot o brainstorming before pouring his heart out on the songs.
