Shatta Wale has apologized to Ghanaians in general and the #fixthecountry protestors for the insults he rained on them last week.
Shatta Wale was highly criticized last week after the tragic death of activist, Macho Kaaka, and the subsequent violence that erupted in Ejura, he labelled those fighting for a better country and governance as “educated fools and disappointed graduates”.
In the aftermath of Shatta Wale’s outburst, many Ghanaians, including U.S.-based journalist Kevin Taylor, urged Shatta Wale’s fans to unfollow him.
Few hundreds of fans heeded the call and unfollowed the artiste, forcing him to attempt to explain his words in a live video.
However, upon a sober reflection, Shatta Wale has finally apologized for betraying the conscience of Ghanaians in general and his fans in particular.
He claims in a Facebook post that he was prevailed upon by a man he admires to apologise.
He wrote on Facebook, “Today My Godfather Abass Sariki GIWA 1 has spoken to me like a father and son and I have taken his lovely advice . I will like to once again say sorry to the fans that never got to watch my LIVE video ,I love you all and get ready for the Journey ahead”
