Police are investigating a fatal shooting at a liquor store in Old Town Saginaw.
It’s the sixth time this year a man has been shot to death at a Saginaw store.
About 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 16, police responded to a shooting at The Bootlegger Party Store, 418 S. Michigan Ave., formerly the Vintage Pointe Liquor & Wine.
They arrived to find 29-year-old Romel Montgomery, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Montgomery was taken to a local hospital for treatment but succumbed to his wounds.
Police have no suspects in custody as of Tuesday morning.
They did not provide a suspect description or additional context, aside from saying Montgomery was not an employee of the business.
Montgomery’s homicide is Saginaw’s 18th of the year. Of the killings, 16 resulted from gunfire while the outlying two stemmed from vehicular crashes.
