Rahama Sadau is a Nigerian actress popular in the Kannywood movie industry.
The actress rose to fame in 2013, after debuting in the movie, ‘Gani ga Wane’.
She has since then appeared in numerous Hausa and English movies and also earned a good number of awards, including the highly-rated Best Actress (Kannywood) at the City People Entertainment Awards for two years (2014 and 2015).

She was born on the 7th of December, 1993 (28 ) in Kaduna State, Nigeria to Alhaji Ibrahim Sadau.
Family
Her mum originally hails from Gombe State while her dad is a native of Kaduna State and she grew up in Kaduna alongside her three sisters Zainab Sadau, Fatima Sadau, Aisha Sadau and brother Haruna Sadau.
Education
She had her primary education at Labayi International School, Kaduna after which she enrolled at Kaduna Capital School for her junior secondary education.
After completing her JSS 3, she proceeded to Misbahul Islam School, Kaduna, where she obtained her SSCE.
She also attended Kaduna Polytechnic, before traveling to Cyprus, where she gained admission to study at the prestigious Eastern Mediterranean University in Northern Cyprus.
Movies and Series
Rahama Sadau debuted as an actress in 2013 after joining through Ali Nuhu. Her first major movie, ‘Gani ga Wane’, which she also featured Kannywood star, Ali Nuhu helped shoot her into the limelight.
In October 2016, the Motion Picture Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MOPPAN), suspended Rahama Sadau from Kannywood for appearing in a romantic music video with a Jos born singer and rapper, Classiq. A year later, Rahama delivered her letter of apology to MOPPAN, where she apologised for her inappropriate behaviour.
In 2017, Rahama Sadau formed a production company named Sadau Pictures were she produced her first movie, ‘Rariya’. The movie featured stars like Sani Musa Danja, Fati Washa, Ali Nuhu and Sadiq Sani Sadiq.
The ban was lifted in January 2018, following the intervention of Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, the Governor of Kano State.
In 2019 MTV Shuga returned to be located in Nigeria for series 6, ‘Choices’, and Sadau was one of returning actors for the new series which included Yakubu Mohammed, Timini Egbuson, Ruby Akabueze and Uzoamaka Aniunoh.
Controversies
Rahama Sadau has come under fire from the northern part of the country on Twitter over her new photos.
The movie star took to her Twitter page on Sunday, November 1, 2020, where she shared some of her photos.
Well, it didn’t take long before some people from the northern part of the country popularly known as ‘Arewa Twitter’ began to lash at the actress over her photos.
For many of them, the photos were provocative and against their religion.
