Prolific Ghanaian gospel musician, Noble Nketia has sent a message of peace to gospel acts Patience Nyarko and Joe Mettle on the remarks made by Patience Nyarko.
According to him, engaging in feuds will only send a bad message to the world and isn’t a healthy one.
Patience Nyarko, some few weeks ago made the headlines when he said in an interview that Joe Mettle sings only Pentecostal and Methodist hymns and shouldn’t be tagged as the number 1 gospel act in the country. Her message was received with mixed reactions by Ghanaians. Again, she walked off an interview when she was asked to sing a song by Joe Mettle on the basis that it was disrespectful.
In an interview with 3 FM’s Mzgee, Joe Mettle said engaging in feuds only tarnishes the image of the acts and sends a negative message to the world. He noted that there is no competition in God’s kingdom and as such, the two gospel acts need to calm down and do what they do best for the kingdom.
“If I have the opportunity to meet anyone of them, the only thing I could tell them is not to engage themselves in this because it gives a bad image to the world,” he told Mzgee.
