Greenville, South Carolina – On Monday afternoon, January 6, 2024, a tragic car crash near Snow Street in Greenville, South Carolina, claimed the lives of 25-year-old Neto Marie and her unborn daughter.
Marie was pregnant with her third child and was on the way to hospital to deliver when she passed, according to multiple people familiar with the situation.
It’s not clear if she truly died in a wreck as despite multiple posts mentioning that, others dispute that information.
She and her partner, Avery, had recently celebrated the baby’s upcoming arrival at a baby shower in December 2024.
Friends, fans and family members of the Greenville SC creator mourned her passing in several social media posts, confirming her demise.
Marie, originally from Gray Court, had shared a post to Facebook on Monday, January 6th, indicating she was ready to deliver.
“My last bump pic,” she captioned two photos of herself showing off her full-term baby bump.
Authorities have not yet released full details about the accident or its cause.
Friends and close family shared their trauma at the unexpectedly tragic passing.
“Please just send prayers up for Neto Marie family. Yes, her and the baby both didn’t make it,” one family friend said, confirming the news but saying little about the cause.
Another troubled friend noted she went to the hospital to wait for Marie to arrive for her delivery but she never arrived. “I got to the hospital early to surprise you and help you with your content. Kept asking for you and we couldn’t find you, kept waiting and you never walked thru that door,” said Javion Woods.
