Multiple award-winning Ghanaian rapper, Michael Owusu Addo, best known as Sarkodie has disclosed that his upcoming mixtape dubbed Alpha was coiled from his wife Tracey Sarkcess.
The rapper disclosed this while in an interview with Hitz Fm’s Andy Dosty on Thursday.
As monitored by ghlinks.com.gh, the rapper said his wife always says the word ‘Alpha’ anytime they have conversations and even though he doesn’t know why she keeps saying that, he felt it was good to name his mixtape project ‘Alpha’. “It came from Tracey. I don’t know why she said that but anytime I say something, she says that word”.
Touching on what he wanted to put across by naming the mixtape Alpha, the Adonai hit maker said the word Alpha can be likened to dominance and a leader leading a park. In relation to himself, he is a leader of the rap game in Ghana.
Sarkodie announced the release of a six track mixtape project which he is scheduled to release on June 7th, 2019. He explained in the interview that it is a project that is meant for his core Sark natives before the release of his main project for 2019 which will come on later this year and has a couple of African collaborations.
He emphasized that most of the songs are core rap except his single with the late Ebony Reigns which he put on the mixtape to remember the late singer.
