MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Christmas morning turned tragic for two families in Milwaukee after a double shooting claimed the lives of two teenagers near 37th and Scott streets.
According to police, the incident occurred just before 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 25. An unidentified suspect opened fire on a vehicle, striking 15-year-old Xziel Ondalow and an 18-year-old whose name has not been released.
The 15-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, while the 18-year-old succumbed to their injuries at a nearby hospital.
Authorities are actively investigating the shooting but have not yet identified a suspect or motive. Milwaukee police are urging anyone with information about the case to come forward.
The incident has left the community shocked and mourning during what is usually a time for joy and celebration. Neighbors expressed sadness and concern over the rise in gun violence, particularly involving young people.
Family and friends of the victims are grappling with the devastating loss. “It’s heartbreaking to lose a child, especially on Christmas,” a family friend said.
As the investigation continues, police are asking for tips to help bring the shooter to justice.
