She is currently married to Edo State politician and businessman Prince Odianosen Okojie.
In 2011, at the Christ Embassy Church, Ikeja, Prince Odianosen Okojie and Mercy Johnson exchanged vows.
Immediately after the wedding service, the reception was held at 10 Degree Event Centre in Ikeja.
Prince Odianosen Okojie’s biography
In addition to his position as a politician and businessman, Prince Odianosen Okojie is Mercy Johnson’s husband.
His native state is Edo in Nigeria.
Currently, he is 47 years old and he was born on November 17th, 1973.
The Henod Group of Companies, which encompasses several areas of business interests, including oil and gas, real estate, automobiles, and hospitality, are headed by Prince Odianosen Okojie.
Prince Okojie’s ex-wife and the scandal
In the days immediately before his marriage to Mercy Johnson, Odianosen’s ex-wife, Lovely Okojie, insisted that he was still legally married to her, and that Mercy Johnson was “only trying to steal him away from her”.
In her defense, she provided proof of her marriage certificate and pictures of her two children who she assured belonged to Prince Odianosen Okojie.
Mercy Johnson’s marriage to Prince Okojie almost ended due to these claims, but they somehow endured.
In an interview at the time, Prince Okojie said:
“My estranged wife, Lovely’s purpose is just to split Mercy and myself which I don’t think is possible. Mercy and I are waxing stronger by the day. Myself and Mercy are still together and our love is still waxing stronger.”
He was obviously right because, ten years after, the two love birds are still waxing strong as ever.
