Some school staff members from unnamed school in the Liberty Independent School District have allegedly locked up a child with no food until they started to eat their own faeces.
The staff members, Melody LaPointe, 47, Tarah Tinney, 33, and Augusta Costlow, 27, were arrested earlier this month in relation to the incident.

In April of last year (2021), Melody LaPointe, Tarah Tinney, and Augusta Costlow placed a child in isolation.
Eventually, the youngster, who has special needs, became so starved, he began eating his own feces and drinking his urine, a criminal complaint alleges.
What’s more, while confined to the room, the little boy fell and injured himself – but the three staffers, the suit charges, did nothing to help him.

A school spokesperson said the two teaching assistants were placed on administrative leave whilst police investigated the allegations.
That investigation, officials said, saw them resign once the probe was completed.
However, LaPointe, the main teacher in the classroom, also resigned, but was able to find work at another nearby school district, at Hopper Primary in Houston.
She was arrested November 17 on school grounds, in full view of her students and coworkers.
