In 2018, the Ghanaian public witnessed the dramatic end of rapper Medikal’s relationship with fellow musician Deborah Vanessa (a.k.a Sister Derby). Shortly after, it was evident that the split between the two was as a result of the rapper’s infidelity with socialite Fella Makafui.
Sister Derby capitalized on the drama and released her song “Kakalika love” which made waves and reached number 2 on iTunes.
In an interesting and funny interview hosted by Abeiku Santana on his Atuu Show, Wanluv Kubolor real name Emmanuel Owusu Bonsu when asked about his opinion of Medikal after the end of his relationship with his sister Deborah Vanessa , Wanluv had only nice things to say about the rapper.
The pop and folk songs singer stated that he sees Medikal as a very talented human being who’s also very hard working. He explained that Medikal’s hard work is undeniable especially considering the kind of music he puts out and the consistency with which he does it, as well as the collaborations he’s part off.
According to Kubolor, it takes true hard work and dedication to be able to pull all those things off. Kubolor appeared to genuinely have no ill feelings towards Medikal, as, the most he did when the relationship first collapsed was to release a playful song suggesting that if a big ass was what Medikal wanted, he could have told Kubolor so that he pumps up his sister’s ass; a joke about Fella’s big ass and Derby’s cute ass.
