Authorities in Perry Township are investigating the death of a 28-year-old woman after officers responded to a medical emergency Sunday evening.
According to the Perry Township Police Department, officers were dispatched at 5:54 p.m. to a residence at 616 Stewart Road for a report of an adult female in distress.
Emergency medical personnel arrived and began CPR on Macy Goodman, who was then transported to Salem Hospital.
She was later pronounced dead.
All individuals present at the scene were identified, police said. One adult male who fled the location was later apprehended and taken into custody on a pre-existing felony warrant.
The official cause of Goodman’s death has not yet been determined, and authorities say the investigation remains ongoing.
Born on June 4, 1996, in Salem, Ohio, Macy attended Salem High School, where she was known for her dedication to academics and extracurricular activities.
She later pursued higher education at Youngstown State University, earning a degree in Communications.
