My kids childhood friend, Kodi, passed away yesterday. Life got too heavy for him. This is so heartbreaking. If you’re going thru a dark night of the soul, reach out to someone, anyone. Know it’s a temporary place. The sun always rises again. If anyone can donate, his family needs money for his funeral.

According to the comments from those who knew Kodi, many believe that the Wooster Police Department failed to take the necessary actions that could have saved his life.
It is alleged that on the night of the incident, Kodi should have been either arrested or placed on a psychiatric hold, but authorities did not take the situation seriously.
Friends and community members expressed their outrage, stating that had proper precautions been taken, he might still be alive today.
Many shared their frustration over how mental health crises are often overlooked by authorities, with some recalling similar instances where individuals in distress were given little to no help.
To help Kodi’s family, Aimee Skaggs has created a GoFundMe page with a goal of $7,000 to assist with funeral and memorial expenses.
Professionally, Kodi has worked as a Rig Hand at Hagen Well Service since October 10, 2022.
He was also a devoted husband to Kaitlin Brenner, whom he married in 2018, and together they were raising their three children.
