An obsessed boyfriend shot his ex-girlfriend, Kenia Osorio to death then turned the gun on himself in a disturbing murder-suicide, officials and the victim’s family reportedly said.
Kenia Osorio was shot in front of her 8-year-old daughter while they were parked outside the hospital near Katy.
The incident occurred shortly after 2 p.m. Sunday,4th December 2022.
What happened
According to a preliminary investigation, Osorio and the man, who has not been identified, were traveling in a car together to the hospital to seek medical attention for the woman’s daughter, reported Fox 26.
When they pulled into the parking lot on the West Campus, the man allegedly shot Osorio as she tried to exit the car, and then turned the gun on himself in the front passenger seat.
The woman’s daughter was sitting in the backseat was not physically hurt.
“Everything happened in front of my niece. I’m sure it’s hard for her to deal with that,” her only brother Carlos Rivera said.

Osorio’s family that said the 32-year-old woman was married but going through a divorce with her husband.
A few months ago, she began dating another man, believed to be the gunman.
Recently however, Osorio and her husband decided to reconcile and keep the family together.
That’s when things got bad.
“As far as we know, he pretty much got obsessed because she decided to work things out with her husband and get back together with him,” Rivera said.
The children, a girl and a boy, are now with their father, who is also distraught.
He declined to speak about what happened.
