Keith Nale has died at age 62 following a brief illness, according to his son Wes.
The competition series star was a favorite among fans after achieving victory not once, but twice.
ET Online has confirmed that Keith died on Tuesday.

Nale’s son, Wes, told ET Online, “He passed away this afternoon. He’d been battling cancer for the past few months, and we found out about it in January.”
“A life taken way too soon!” Nale’s brother, Kevin, told the outlet. “It happened so quickly. Cancer ate him up. He Passed this afternoon at his home in Shreveport, Louisiana.”

The firefighter appeared alongside Wes in the juggernaut series back in 2014, eventually making it to the final four owing to his skill in the Immunity Challenges.
Nale was later among the twenty castaways chosen by public vote to compete in the ‘second chance’ season, Survivor: Cambodia.
He finished in fifth place, being eliminated just before the final Tribal Council, with Jeremy Collins going on to win the season.
