A 38 year old woman identified as Kasia Simmons was found dead on the side of the road Wednesday night in Greenwood County, South Carolina.
On Wednesday night, June 12 the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office said they responded to a shooting on Wilson Creek Road in the Pinehurst Subdivision.
Deputies found the body of 38-year-old Kasia Dierra Simmons by the road and “appeared to have been shot,” the coroner said.
Simmons lived approximately 50 miles away on Willow Creek Court in Simpsonville.
Her death is being investigated as a homicide.
The Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
Deputies said no suspects have been identified yet in Simmons’ death, but they learned she was with an unknown man before the shooting.
Deputies are asking anyone who may have been in the Pinehurst Subdivision between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Wednesday night to contact them if they saw or heard anything suspicious.
