Kansas City police are investigating a shooting that happened Thursday evening near E. 87th Street and Blue Ridge Boulevard.
The incident claimed the life of a man identified as Dante Garth.
The shooting occurred just after 5 p.m., and officers quickly arrived on the scene.
According to police, several individuals present directed them to a nearby vehicle where Garth was found unresponsive.
The victim had apparent gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have not arrested any suspects and are actively working to gather more information about the incident.
Investigators are asking anyone with information about the shooting to come forward.
