A middle-aged man who went beserk over a golf ball has been identified as John Reeb.
In a video that circulated widely, Reeb can be seen engaged in a heated argument with fellow players over a golf ball, eventually culminating in him tearing off his shirt and challenging them to a fight.
According to Outkick, the fight took place at one of the most chaotic spots on Crooked Creek Golf Course in Michigan.
The video quickly made its way over to Reddit, where users came to a consensus that this may be a real-life example of winning an argument by out-crazying the other party.
Who is John Reeb from Archbold, Ohio?
John Warren Reeb is a 41 year old man from the tiny village of Archbold, Ohio.
He works as a realtor and has a history of run-ins with the law, including previous arrests related to drugs and charges of ‘intent to riot’.
On July 26, dressed only his underwear, Reeb allegedly threatened a 26-year-old man called Christian William Griteman in his hometown, according to the Archbold Buckeye.
Police spoke with both men, and Reeb was issued a minor misdemeanor citation for disorderly conduct under the Archbold municipal code.
On July 15 he was also charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly yelling at Archbold resident Keith Perry, 48, as he was getting into his truck to go to work early in the morning.
The police report states that Reeb spat at the truck, then tried to spit on Perry through the vehicle’s open window, per the Archbold Buckeye.
August brought two more arrests for Reeb.
His latest arrest was on August 10, when police attended reports about him allegedly ‘causing problems with others’.
Reeb was taken into custody and transported to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio. He has since been released.
Earlier in August, he was charged yet again with a misdemeanor warrant.
In November 2017, Reeb was also convicted of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol, and ordered to do 150 hours community service and pay a $560 fine.
His other alleged crimes include speeding in a school zone in October 2007, possessing narcotics in July and December 2015, planning an intentional riot in 2022, and trespass earlier this year.
Reeb also caused a dramatic car crash in 2020 which caused him to be thrown out of his vehicle.
On June 11 of that year, Reeb was driving a Buick minivan when he failed to heed a stop sign and ploughed into the path of a Ford pick-up truck, according to The Village Reporter.
Reeb was not wearing a seatbelt and suffered serious injuries requiring hospital treatment after his car flipped and he was flung to the ground. The Ford driver was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
