An early-morning shooting at a Saginaw apartment complex has left a man dead, about 400 feet from where a teen was fatally shot earlier this year.
About 3:10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2, police responded to the reported shooting at 3103 Birch Park Drive within Birch Park Apartments.
They arrived to find 43-year-old John Harris in front of the residence, already deceased from at least one gunshot wound.
Police have not arrested any suspects. They did not provide a suspect description or additional context.
They are asking anyone with information to call Detective Martin Blank at 989-759-1231 or, to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-422-5245.
Harris’ is the second shooting death to occur in the apartment complex this year. The evening of March 21, 19-year-old Jason L. Porterfield Jr. was shot in his head in front of 3013 Birch Park Drive. Porterfield died two days later after his family removed him from life support.
