As per a Q&A shared on Rachel’s Instagram Stories, the two initially crossed paths at the 46 Lounge, a nightclub located in Totowa, New Jersey.
During that time, John would often frequent the places Rachel worked at, persistently asking her out despite her reluctance as she had recently ended a previous relationship.
However, he eventually won her over and convinced her to give him a chance.
Their first date took place in Hoboken, which ultimately led to their wedding at the Estate at Florentine Gardens in River Vale, New Jersey in 2017.
