On Monday, a shooting on Morrell Boulevard near Navy Park and Simmons Drive left one person critically injured.
Jalynn Guillory identified as the victim was airlifted to a medical facility following the incident, having sustained 12 gunshot wounds.
Neighbors say there might be multiple victims.
Jalynn known on Facebook as Becky Green has successfully undergone surgery and remains in the Intensive Care Unit, where she is reported to be in stable condition.
Jalynn’s father, Gaylynn Marshall Guillory, shared an emotional update: “So thankful for God’s grace and mercy🙌🏾 Jalynn was shot 12 times. BUT GOD🙌🏾 She made it through surgery and is in ICU but stable. Thank you for the calls, texts, and prayers.🙏 As I rode to the hospital, I prayed, ‘God, your will.’ He spared her. To God be the glory.”
