For many music lovers, high life music has taken a bad turn and isn’t making enough waves like it should in this generation. However, High life musician Bisa Kdei thinks otherwise.
To the award-winning high life musician, the genre of music is not dead and is still so much alive.
The singer established this in an interview with Accra based Peace Fm on Thursday.
Talking about the rate at which Ghanaians are jamming to high life music and the way forward for the genre of music, the singer was of the view that high life music is still doing very well considering how new crop of artistes are doing it.
He however maintained that a lot should be done to make the genre of music relevant and suggested that more award schemes be implemented to encourage young musicians to do high life music.
“High life is going really well. What I preach everywhere is how we can make high life music grow. I think there is the need to create more award schemes to encourage the new crop of artistes who do high life music. This is enough motivation”, he said.
Bisa Kdei is set to host the first ever Bisafest in a few days.
