Beaumont police are investigating a homicide after multiple shots were fired and a man identified as Gregory Carrington died by the gas pumps at the Exxon/Honey’s Drive-In at Concord and Delaware.
The call came in at 3:21 a.m. Sunday, reporting a victim of a shooting at the gas station/convenience store in the 3100 block of Concord.
Police found Gregory Carrington body lying by a gas pump.
Officers placed yellow crime scene tape around the area and a number of yellow evidence markers, some with shell casings nearby.
Assistant Chief Jason Plunkett with the Criminal Investigations Division and Detective Jesus Tamayo, a veteran officer who has worked many homicide scenes, were among the team of officers talking with witnesses and gathering evidence.
CSI technicians were also on scene gathering evidence while officers who specialize in using the BPD drone flew it overhead.
Witnesses who were at a nightclub across the street tell KFDM/Fox 4 News they heard multiple shots fired.
