Multiple award winning movie director, Frank Rajah Arase has finally gained the attention of American streaming platform, Netflix and will have his latest movie titled ‘In my country’ premiered on the platform.
The movie which is scheduled to be released on 18th of October, 2019 will first show on the American based platform where it has been estimated to earn great numbers in terms of viewership.
This will be the first time the Nigerian born movie director has a work with Netflix and will also be the few to follow in that stead after Genevieve Nnaji’s ‘Lion Heart’.
The movie director, Frank Rajah expressed his excitement in the project with the global streaming platform and said in an interview with NEWS-ONE that it feels good to have your works recognized by global platforms. “it is a great opportunity to have access to an international distributive channel like Netflix for the world to see our movies,” he said.
‘In my Country’ stars Nollywood’s Sam Dede, Okawa Shaznay, Bimbo Manuel, Shan George and several others.
It tells the story of desperate woman who has to raise money for a surgery on her 8-year old daughter and as such got linked to a man from her past for help. Many more shocking revelations unearth after the woman uncounted her past which takes matters from bad to worse.
