The Greater Accra Regional Police Command has granted bail to the two dancehall acts, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy after detaining the two since Sunday.
In an official statement signed by Deputy Superintendent of Police Efia Tenge, Head of Public Affairs Unit of the Greater Accra Regional Police Command, she stated that their arrest was a result of their conducts at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards on Saturday.
She added that another arrest was made giving the name of the person as Nii Amoo who is suspected to have sprayed pepper spray at the auditorium when the brawl occurred.
She stated that they will be arranged before court in due time and that event organisers, Charter House are cooperating with the police to ensure that due justice takes its course in the issue. She also assured that the issue will be handled by the rightful law processes.
In a separate video released by Citi News, Shatta Wale was captured exiting the Police headquarters in the presence of police, his father and former manager Bull Dog.
Bhim President, Stonebwoy also on Sunday released an apology for pulling a gun on stage and involving himself in the unfortunate brawl, stating that his actions were necessitated due to constant threats he had received on social media from his rival camp prior to the event and said he acted based on instincts.
