Damian Smith popularly known as Shaka Zulu is a Ghanaian bodybuilder, a professional strongman competitor and winner of the 2017,2018, and 2021 Ghana’s Strongest Man competitions.
Career
Shaka Zulu began his career as a strongman with a win when he entered the Ghana’s Strongest Man contest in October 2017.
In 2018, he became the first Ghanaian to win the Arnold Classic Africa Strongman and the West Africa Strongman contest in the same calendar year.
Ghana’s Strongest ‘Champion of Champions’ edition for 2021 ended with him as the winner.
Among the many challenges, he was the overall winner for Truck Head Pull (weight 46,000kg), Giant Tyre Flip, and Keg Toss.
His prize was a whopping GHS10,000, a brand new vehicle, and a trip to South Africa to compete in the Arnold Classics Africa.
This is his third title, having won in 2017 and 2018 after relocating to the United States.
