Crash in Greensboro Claims the Life of 18-Year-Old Jaden Buie

GREENSBORO, N.C. — On a quiet Wednesday morning, a young life was tragically cut short.

Around 5 a.m., Greensboro police, fire crews, and Guilford County EMS responded to an emergency call at the 3700 block of Holts Chapel Road.

The scene was devastating. An overturned vehicle was engulfed in flames.

Authorities quickly identified the driver as Jaden Buie, an 18-year-old student and football player, known for his dedication and spirit.

Buie was driving a 2022 Kia Sorento east on Holts Chapel Road when the car veered off the road to the right.

The vehicle struck a tree, overturned, and caught fire.

Details of the Incident

The crash claimed Buie’s life instantly. Authorities are still investigating the exact cause of the accident.

Buie, born on March 18, 2006, was a recent graduate of James Benson Dudley High School, Class of 2024.

He was pursuing college studies and playing football, a sport he loved deeply.
