Cooper Wrobel: Motorcyclist killed in I-76 crash in Wadsworth Township

A Wadsworth motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Interstate 76 on Tuesday.

According to a news release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Cooper Wrobel, 23, was riding an Aprilla Tuono V4 1100 Factory motorcycle, traveling east on Interstate 76.

At milepost 7.4 in Wadsworth Township, the motorcycle went off the left side of the eastbound lanes into the center median, turning over onto its side.

Wrobel was thrown from the motorcycle, landing in the left lane of the interstate, and was fatally struck by oncoming traffic.

The highway patrol was assisted at the crash by Wadsworth police, fire and emergency medical services, the Medina County Sheriff’s Office, the Medina County Coroner’s Office and Bear’s Towing.

The crash remains under investigation.
