For the first time in her life, Celestine Donkor has fallen in love with secular music performance.
The gospel artiste who has not been enamored of performances from secular musicians got wowed by rapper Eno at the recently held Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
She told MzGee on ‘Simply Showbiz’ that Eno’s performance at the VGMA was spot on, unlike most of the secular shows she’s seen.
She said that was the first time she experienced Eno perform and the performance caught her attention.
She added that until her encounter with Eno, she thought all secular artistes sounded the same.
“If you want secular shows, their stage demeanor, shouts, and chants are the same,” she added.
But with Eno on a rap that right, the right that night, the lyrical content, she is real, she’s natural and anybody who is good at writing would understand what I am talking about.
“I have not seen any female rapper that dope in Ghana,” she concluded.
Celestine Donkor is known for songs such as ‘Agbeboloo’, ‘Adekye Mu Nsem’, ‘Okronkronhene’, ‘Supernatural’, among others.
