The Lebanon Police Department (LPD) said Steve Yarbrough, the man who was believed to be “armed and dangerous” turned himself in after he allegedly fatally shot his wife, Catara Yarbrough.
Police said 42-year-old Steve Yarbrough peacefully turned over to officers at the Lebanon Police Department.
His green truck was found in Hickman County, officers said.
Officers reported overnight that Yarbrough, 42, is a suspect in a shooting inside an apartment complex that left a woman fatally injured from multiple gunshots in that city.
The crime happened just before 12:30 a.m. Saturday morning, police said, and the woman later died at a hospital.
Police dispersed a media alert for Yarbrough, with caution to West Tennessee residents that he might have been heading toward Jackson, Tenn., where they said he previously lived.
“We are grateful for our detectives and officers, who worked steadfastly to bring justice to the victim. We will continue to keep the victim’s family and loved ones in our thoughts and prayers,” police said
