One man is dead following a shooting in Wilmington, according to a news release from the Wilmington Police Department.
Around 8:20 a.m. on Wednesday, police were dispatched to the 4000 block of Wilshire Boulevard for report of an unconscious person, the release said.
Officers located a 22-year-old man who had been shot outside of a nearby apartment complex.
The victim, identified by police on Thursday afternoon as Caleb Osborn, died as a result of his injuries prior to the arrival of law enforcement.
Osborn went to a nearby address to meet with an acquaintance shortly before he was shot and killed, according to an updated release from the Wilmington Police Department.
