Defeated Member of Parliament(MP) for Adenta Constituency in the Greater Region, Yaw Buaben Asamoa has blamed his defeat in the just-ended election on his ill-health.
According to Buaben Asamoa, he was hospitalized a week before the 2020 election which saw him lose his seat to the NDC’s Mohammed Adamu Ramadan, elder brother of Second Lady Samira Bawumia.
Communications Director of the NPP who was speaking to Journalists in Parliament, saud he has lost several elections, and losing his seat is not much of a worry to him because one goes into an election with the notion that you may win or lose.
“I was let out by the hospital authority just about almost twelve hours to come and try and work on the elections. But I was in the hospital for nearly a full week before the election started.”
Adding that “With elections, you can win or lose, I have lost several elections. The only difference is that this time I had it and I have lost it.
“Before, I was looking for it and I didn’t get it so I am comfortable in my and I believe that one can win or lose and as I stand here I am still the director of communications,” he said.
