A 32-year-old man identified as Brandon Williams was fatally shot while sitting inside a vehicle on the city’s West Side.
The shooting happened around 9:20 a.m. Wednesday on the 500 block of North Pine Avenue in the Austin neighborhood.
Police said the man was sitting inside a car when a silver sedan, possibly a Chevy Equinox, pulled up and multiple people inside fired shots at the victim.
The offenders then fled southbound on Pine.
The man sustained multiple gunshots throughout the body and was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
No one is in custody. Area Four detectives are investigating.
