A Bluffton man died after a single-car accident over the weekend on Hilton Head, Beaufort County Deputy Coroner Andrew McNece said Tuesday.
Endy Rodriguez, 37, died at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah following the accident, McNece said.
The accident happened Dec. 8 around 2:59 a.m. on U.S. Highway 278 at Gumtree Road, South Carolina Highway Patrol Lance Corporal Brittany Glover said.
Rodriguez had been traveling west in a 2011 BMW on U.S. 278 when his vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway, striking a tree.
Glover said Rodriguez was the only occupant in the vehicle at the time of the accident. SCHP is currently investigating the accident.
