Brother of the late Bishop Bernard Nyarko has rejected widespread speculations within the media regarding the death of the versatile actor.
Isaac Darko in an interview with SVTV Africa said: “My brother died peacefully at Ridge Hospital in Accra.”
The Ghana movie industry on Saturday evening was hit with news of the sudden demise of actor and preacher.
The devastating development has sent shock waves down the spine of many cinephiles, with colleagues and close friends gravely mourning the talented star who enjoyed a short stint in the entertainment sector.
Bishop Nyarko’s death has, however, been linked to spiritual attacks plotted by his some colleagues in the movie industry.
But the family vehemently discredited the speculations and warned the public against misinformation.
Funeral arrangements for the actor are yet to be announced.
A few months ago, Bishop Bernard Nyarko announced his retirement from acting to be a full-time preacher after he seriously took ill.
He described acting as an “evil” venture during a sermon in church.
