A man named Kylan Jacques Phillips has been arrested by the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office in connection to an incident that left a 21-year-old woman Bailey Mae Reed dead.
The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office said they received a 911 call just after 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 23, 2023, about a possible domestic disturbance at a home on County Road 181.
When they got there, investigators said they found a woman, identified as 21-year-old Bailey Mae Reed, dead at the scene.
They have not said how she died.
Investigators said Kylan Jaques Phillips was taken into custody and is now awaiting a court appearance for bond.
In a post to Facebook, Sheriff Joey East said, “Our hearts go out to the family and friends of Bailey during this difficult time.
The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office is dedicated to seeking justice for Bailey and her loved ones.”
