A 16-year-old girl was found dead in a park on Chicago’s West Side, marking the second Chicago Public Schools student killed on the same day.
Kaylah Aaliyah Love, a junior at Manley High School, was discovered in the 3000 block of West Van Buren Street in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on Monday, March 17, 2025.
Authorities said she had suffered trauma to her head.
Witnesses claim that Kaylah lay on the ground for hours before authorities arrived.
Bystanders recorded videos and posted them on Facebook before her family even knew she was dead.
Police have not released details about the attack.
No arrests have been made, and detectives from the Harrison Area are investigating.
